The Technology
This software is developed for online procurement of materials in an organization. The purpose of this project is to interact with vendor and placing the purchase orders online. This project consists of the activities starting from posting the tenders on tthe website till placing the purchase order to the vendor. The vendors are the users of this project. The following activities are carried out here.
- Vendor Registration
- Bidding
- Clarification requests and responses.
- Price negotiations by the organization.
- Placement of Orders. Pre-requisites: A Materials Management System that records all the transactions and document details of the organization's purchasing process, application server (tomcat 5.5.23, java 5.0, servlet 2.4). Class III digital certificates with Organization Name issued by any CA authorized by CCA
USP
- Security: It consists of secured login, no need to remember user name and password and parallel key encryption for opening the bid by multi persons.
- Signing Portable Document Format (pdf) files: This consists of converting all documents into pdf files and signed with their private keys. This verifies whether the file is received from the authenticated person or not.
- Digital Certificates as per IT act 2K with organization's name to simplify vendor registration.
- SOA Architecture: It consists of XML inputs and outputs from the system that can integrate with any system. The data is stored in XML format for easy archival. For example, Tender wise
